King Duncan's Words to Macbeth
The bloodied Captain and Ross had told me about you.
The way you cut down men with no mercy.
How you captured my foe.
How you continued to fight,
Battle after battle.
Never once did you let your guard down.
Unlike me.
You kill to get what you want.
Who would have known my crown would be next?
However, I, myself, was impressed and honored by you
A fearless warrior you were.
A Speckled Starling among Pigeons
A Kings vision of a loyal knight.
I must have gotten too old.
My eyesight has gone bad.
What I have lost, Macbeth has won
What I have trusted, has been corrupted
And What I have raised, has been split.
The Thane of Cawdor has betray’d me twice
Once long ago
And now once more.
But like the saying goes;
Fool me once shame on you,
Fool me twice shame on me..
As I sit here in heaven,
and look upon my old kingdom,
I keep praying and wishing you’ll get caught for your murders.
Wishing sickness on you and your family.
Wishing you were the one who was killed by a dagger.
But, nonetheless
I forgive you.
You may have taken my life
Taken away my children’s rightful heir
And taken trust from my people
But I finally understand you have no control.
You’ve been cursed and I pity you.
My only advice I can give you now is to become that Starling once more.
Become that fearless warrior and not that corrupt one.
Escape the curse that binds you to your monster.
Do not let that crown be too heavy for your head,
Or else it’ll make you sink quicker than you’d think.
May god save Scotland.
May god save the people.
May god save my sons.
May god Save Macbeth.

I thought it'd be interesting to have King Duncan give his last words/advice to Macbeth in his afterlife. So I made a poem adressing it.
