I See
You’re pretty.
Maybe some don’t see it.
Maybe they’re just too grown to see.
But don’t you worry your beautiful little head,
I see it. I’ve always seen my little angel in satin red,
Your battered soul still radiating peace and love.
As a young child I wept for your misfortune,
Clipped wings hatefully holding you here.
I now see how useless I was to you.
Endless apologies, my love.
I beg of you,
Forgive my ignorance.
I should have treasured you,
Made your happiness my only priority.
From the start we should have been this way.
The past has passed, now I see my faults.
I can’t promise I won’t relapse.
I can promise you this,
I see you.
I see you and all your everlasting winsomeness.

This peice is about my reationship with my horse who has saved me from myself more times than I can count, though thats not really clear in this particular poem. I'm not really crazy about this peice but my teacher is making us submit them places so oh well.
