unexpected
A rat is dumb. A rat is not smart.
But a rat that has instinct,
is a rat to be left in the wild.
When it gnaws and bites, it leaves an ugly sight.
Teeth that crunch through carrots and nuts,
Will leave more than a small cut.
A snake, whose instinct is to stays still,
Is the victim of an act that will leave you
With chills.
Hours left alone, nobody home,
Together in a tank, no longer on their own.
The snake isn’t hungry, and the rat can tell,
He goes to check him out, and yes he’s hungry as hell.
Bite after bite, the rat chomps away, until all that’s left, is that horrible sight.
The scales are missing, meat and bone,
Shouldn’t have left the rat with the snake, alone.
We clean the wounds, and hope it will heal very soon.
