It hit me as something so unexpected
A boat turning to still
A bolt striking your car
A cat loving a dog.
The moment I laid eyes on him my insides clenched
I became weak in the knees
I completely shut down.
Nothing like this has ever happened to me before
filled with nerves
Young love got to me.
Spontaneous and gentle
A thought so palpable became a realization
I really liked him.
Who knew your body could ever know what your mind couldn't?
