The Contrast Poem
There laid a handsome man,
Very kind and cherished his beauty everywhere.
His face had a perfect foundation:
Eyes, mouths, nose every feature was perfect.
I think that he was the most handsome man on Earth
But his perfectness vanishes, passes away.
No one would notice him.
He grows old---losing his perfect face.
Perfection is lost--which isn’t rare.
I’m brought to tears, wondering.
What this the man that everyone adored?
