The Cup of Tea
A wondrous Night,
Perpetually promising potential
And flawlessly raw in the eyes of her.
For this, a cup of tea was essential.
It would only take a minute, so
She lightly danced back inside,
With no shoes of course.
They are irrelevant when looking at the tide.
There was the sweetest girl
Who came upon a bitter cup of tea.
She gazed upon the stars and asked,
Why does this happen to me.
She wallowed in pity;
She ensconced herself in fear,
Completely focused on the bitter
And did not realize sugar was near.
There came a knock.
She opened the door.
She told her mother about the tea,
Who began to snore.
Night became silent with stratus clouds.
The girl solemnly gazed out
Past the sea to the abyss
And decided to no longer pout.
Dawn broke the darkness
The sun rays pierced through
The girl woke with invigoration
And decided to start new.
She brewed once more
The same exact tea
And looked for a solution,
Which was the key.
