fair.

    some people may look at that word 

     and think of a fun place

      where people from your town,

     or people from all over the state

    go to have fun. 

   other people may think of a science fair,

  or even people being honest. 

 when i think of the word fair,

i think how the world would be if life was fair. 

 i will admit,

  i am a very lucky person

   to have a family who loves me,

    a roof over my head,

     food at the dinner table,

      and much more. 

     but then i think of how other people

    don't have the simplest thing

   like a loving family. 

  that's not fair. 

 some don't have clean water to drink from,

a bed to sleep on,

 food at the dinner table,

  clean clothes to wear,

   or a good education. 

  why can't this world be fair?

 there are too many people without shelter,

or even the small things in life we don't notice

 could be the major things in life for the people who

  aren't as lucky as you and me.

   whenever i see the word fair,

     i think of how the world would be if life was fair.
