Summer Morning
  My face slick with sweat
  Even under the leafy canopy,
A halo of green formed by foliage
  Around my body,
  And a shaded shape
  Is created in a circle,
  By the maple trunk base.
  The branches encased with flowers
  And the meadow,
  Just a stone’s throw away.
  Beats down the burning sun
  Upon me,
  My face turned towards
  The fluorescent rays.
  My soon warm back sacrificed,
  To the light beams.
  I begin a new book
  A new cycle of seasons
  And a new day.
Then I know it is truly summer,
  Once again.

This is the fourth piece in my "Morning" series. This one is my favorite out of four, even though all of them are not that good.
