My Crush is a Jerk
My crush is a jerk.
He’s rude and mean.
Everytime I text him
I’m left at read like a blank screen.
My crush is a jerk.
He plays with people’s hearts.
My other friend liked him,
but he tore her to parts.
“Why do I even like him?”
I ask all the time.
Whenever I say good things about him
my friends act like I’m committing a crazy crime.
“Why can’t you stop liking him?”
all my friends say.
But what they don’t understand is
I’m trying night and day.
“My crush is a jerk,”
I tell myself in bed where I lay.
But some nights when I’m lonely,
I find myself texting him, “Hey.”
