Dreaming
The world spins fast
Leaving me lying on my back
My head is in the clouds
Leaving me daydreaming out loud
In my mind
It isn't hard to find
The peace and quiet
Unlike the world's noisy riots
My brain cannot feel the pain
Unlike my fragile heart
Because it is the one with all the smarts
My memories take place
Reminding me of face after face
One in particular draws me in
Taking me places I've never been
My imagination goes wild
Always making me smile
This dark and empty world
Could use a light
So I dreamt up one to take away our fright.
