Colors.
I think in colors.
Azure, admiral, sapphire, lapis, navy, spruce
Words that meant nothing to me before
I now know as the color of his eyes.
Granola, sandcastle, biscotti, fawn, latte
Can only do justice to describe
His beautiful complexion.
Ink and onyx, raven and oil,
Maybe even grease or sable
Can accurately paint the color of his tousled hair.
Rose, strawberry, rouge, possibly ballet slipper,
Bring to mind,
Those beautiful smiling lips.
I think in colors,
And those colors,
Create him.
