Troublemakers
He travels back and forth,
she travels with him.
She’s never taking a break,
he’s always looking for a place to rest.
Big house in one place,
no house in the other.
Starting problems wherever they go.
Taking our space for a while.
We’re told they’ll leave soon.
It’s nice to have them over,
just not for too long.
Maybe it’s just their age.
Will I be like this one day?
Doing things I shouldn’t,
not thinking of what others may think.
They don’t belong here,
saying things they shouldn’t.
Refusing to take the better way out.
We’re trying to do the right thing.
They refuse to take our help.
They’ll leave long after,
to come back short after.
