Poetry Slam
I am criminal,
guilty of being odd.?I am burning buildings,
distracted from being so destructive.
I am to blame
of being condemned.
I am helpless
from being homesick.
But yet I am glad,
glad for being free.
I am calm
and yet relaxed.
I am hurt
for ignoring my friends.
I am honored
for being groovy.
I am terrified
because I will be electrified.
I am foolish
of thinking I am bold.
I have a dream
That one day this nation will rise up
and live up to the true meaning of free
I have a dream.
