My country calls
My parents call
Life and work and money call
For whom do I pick up?
Endless days and futile nights
A mind entranced, wrapped up in nights
Panic in the hopeless night
When will I see day?
It will not stop, it won’t abate
Crushing, falling, endless hate
Still I cry, it won’t abate
How do I make it stop?
Ticking timing, people miming
Friendly words and people miming
Flailing arms, endless miming
Do their throats run dry?
I set down my broken glass
Fearing nothing, acting crass
I don’t really care.
