Favorite Quote:
an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind

As my old childhood reared its ugly head,
I missed the easy days, now I’m in high school instead.
I remember recess, outside as the sun danced on my skin.
Back then, more time I had to spend time with my kin.

The time when my parents, my dad, took me out for a swim,
Now my friends, my classmates, write sonnets about him.
How I loved to play my favorite board game of chess, it isn’t over,
I said a million miles away, a place where I discovered, my first four leaf clover.

The sweet memory when I would only read books of my pleasure,
Now they choose for us, novels that we must read and treasure.
Oh when school work was quick and effortless,
To get through a day presently, it’s so full of stress.

My childhood, such a joy, yet where am I now,
I guess I’ll keep trudging through life, like a powerful cow.
