Scream
I screamed for air as I was pushed into the world
Oxygen rushing through my veins
The wind caressing me and wrapping me around every corner of my body
Drenched in his blood of life
My eyes, pleading for light
Refraining from the exterior world
Not wanting to be stripped away from my state of lightness
I was pure,
Like a virgin blessed with the holy waters of the Jordan
Weightless, soaring through the endless skies
Forced to be framed with the sands of eternity
The caves he created with his bare hands
The dirt I now call home
183 full moons fabricated with the illusion of progress
The engrossing aspects of Humanity
Absorbing the state of nature we define as mankind
Our dexterity to be just plain evil
Analytical assumptions of the righteousness of purity
All underestimated under the real darkness of humans
Denied passage to the world because of spoken truths,
Discriminating history for repeated mistakes,
Presumed interpretations of beauty,
Incorrect theories of life,
…They make us feel darn good
“Your heavyset canvas does not inflict perfection…”
“The music behind your tongue does not reflect proficiency…”
“Your voice, a rough documentary of your preservation…”
It’s just not flawless
It’s not really you…
You’re not truly you;
Its what you’ve come to be,
What they’ve made you become
Even those who share your blood are force to scrutinize you
Supposed parts of wholes slowly detaching from one another
Deteriorating any trace of love
Where is the hope, everyone desires
Amplifying sounds of darkness
And now, you can’t help but call yourself two faced
All under the desire of an audience
Contemplating upon the boom box of a screen
The desire for all to hear your voice…
It’s just not loud enough!
Merely just a percentage of what we call life
A tiny atom in an infinite hemisphere
Grasped under his thumbs-
Reflected upon the broken passageways
Hidden by the mirrors of reality
A rotten reflection of human flesh
Screamed at the top your lungs,
In the highest register you can give
“Precious, Unique, Important…Me!”
Voices that were merely whispers in a crowd
“Grace me with thy mercy,
Light my way with just a single ray of hope,
Drown me in your blessings…
Down the road of my identity.”
I’m finding my voice
Searching the whole wide world
For that tiny…scream!
