Struggling
As she blows in the wind,
There are men
Four men,
Putting her into the ground.
While she is grounded,
I‘m able to soar
I circle around her tauntingly
She doesn’t say much but I can hear her trying to flap her wings,
Trying to be free.
The men have finished putting her in,
they jump up and down whooping,
They keep shouting”we did it!”
I look at her
she seems to be saying,
“I am a symbol of their land,
I am to stay grounded here forever,
but I don’t mind,
I show how hard these soldiers,
these veterans have risked just for our country.”
