Change
When I close my eyes you’re there.
You’re sitting in the passenger seat,
Singing at the top of your lungs.
Making up your own lyrics to the parts you don’t know
Dancing a bit dysfunctional but beautifully.
It was just you and me,
Everything else just disappeared.
I guess it was after that when I realized,
Our friendship was brilliantly perfect,
And no matter where life takes us,
It wouldn’t matter
Because I know now
That you’re out in the world
Changing the world, like you changed me.
