What Could've Been

How is it that we try,
Yet we always fall behind.
We catch up,
But not enough to win.
Looking back we remember our mistakes,
And what could’ve been.
Wondering what to do next,
As we wait, and wait, we fall behind the rest.
It’s one big cycle,
And life remains a mess.
