Don't Give Up
I kneel to the floor beside her bed
She made a choice and now she’s dead
I just can’t wrap myself around this
She is gone and I don’t understand
And I’ve been thinking a lot
‘bout the last couple days and the things that she saw
The things, the people said to her face and about her pretty little past
How can I bear not seeing her face
When she’s the one damn thing that gets me through my day
How will my classes be without her
How will my life be without my other half
And I have to go now
Cause It says in the note, “No crying allowed”
And how she’s in a better place
And not to worry my pretty little face
But how am I to go on with my life
when she was the only thing that kept me living
No crying allowed
Thanks for fighting

My best friend tried to commit suicide last summer and I wrote her this song. I am terrible at writing music so it's to the tune of "Say Something" By A Great Big World.
