LifeSavers
“Do you want a LifeSaver?”
My friend asks me.
All I can think about is
The constant pain
How I can’t maintain
I’m stuck in a frame
I’m always to blame.
Do I want a LifeSaver?
I would love to be saved from this life
This World
The Wars
The Suffering
The Homeless
The Starving
The Constant Pain
We could all use a life saver.
I grab one from the pack.
I stare into the glossy red.
I can’t help but think of the dead
Where to tread
How many people without beds.
The constant pain.
The glossy red falls from my hands
What am I to do?
I’m only me
Me
What can I do?
I want to change something.
No I will change something
Even if it’s pebble by pebble
Rock by Rock
Stone by Stone
Who knows that pebble can turn into something more
Maybe even a rock slide.
I mean this all started
When my friend offered me
LifeSavers.
