The Sound Of Love
Our love sounded like the first drops of rain on a dry day
The sound of laughter breaking into a silent room
The satisfying sigh you make after biting into chocolate
It was that Bon Iver song that everyone falls asleep to
The sound of sheets rustling when you just wake up
The crisp sound of wind blowing through your hair
But in the end it sounded like glass breaking
Silent cries that seem to bounce off of the bathroom tile
The ringing that your ears make after yelling too loud
The bang that echoes after a door slamming
And the silence of the phones not ringing like they used to.
