Figueroa/ Tiny Tim
Baby Girl
You’ve been on my mind heavy
today.
I couldn’t tell you why though. i mean,
of course I miss you. But
today more than others. It doesnt
hurt as bad as it did when it first
happened but the pain is still there.
In my heart where it lies heavy. In
my heart where it will forever
remain. No one knows how it feels.
No one knows what I go through.
All I can do is hope. For understanding.
Not just for them, but for me.
Times without you get tough
I wanna break away and be set free
I wanna run wild knowing it’ll be ok
-But I cant. -But I can dream can’t I?
Its reality. Back to life. I grew up
where dreams didn’t come true. Reality
is real.
Nothing Else.
Dream to believe. Dreaming is believing.
Its different. Doesn’t mean it comes true.
Days without you get rough
No one understands
The hurt I push through. The tears I fight
back. I do it for you
Purple (the color). I used to hate it.
I cherish it even more now.
For you. I push harder.

The begining of my senior year, 2 days before we started actually, my advisor passed away. It's hard knowing that it's true, so I cope with it by writing poetry about her. Her name is Samantha Figueroa. I always called her Tiny Tim which is why it is included in the title. This school year without her has been hard, but I push through and do the things I know she would want me to do. I know she's proud of me.
