This Voice

This voice,
that whisper,
grows closer.
I hear it.
I fear it.
I'm running,
and now,
it's chasing.
Hardly breathing,
I swallow
myself,
from the inside,
then out.
This is it.
It is time
to meet that dear old
friend of mine.
I am drawn to submit
to this voice...
To it.
