Velva-Jean gave her heart to the stage
Where she played.
Ripped it out
Put it in a box
And buried it underneath seat 45.
But there came a day
When the bottles were cleaned off the floor
And the star was peeled from the door.
Velva-Jean was forgotten,
Her heart still beating after the pills filled her blood
Under seat 45.
