The Stone in the Rain
Pitter-patter Pitter-patter
The rain drums on the stone
Leaving permanent scars on the exterior
Soon the stone will break and be whole no more, for permanently it will be broken in two and not even the whispers of the windcould ever possibly mend it
Rain drummed on the stone persistently but never ceased for the droplets did not know the damagethat was to be done to the stone
The stone stood in solitude waiting for the rain to partake in its duties in what was to come: Betrayal

I wrote this peice in a time of desperation and depression in hopes of someone reading my poem and realizing that they are not alone in the things they go through in life. In this poem the rain represents enemies, hurt, and pain. Wind represents friends and loved ones. The stone represents my heart.
