Who? When? What? and Why?

Who? - the incessant flow of love and life, constantly conforming itself into a massive array of small indistinguishable russian nesting dolls. all slowly and slowly gravitating 7 billion towards becoming one and the same.

When? - in our ‘twenty first century’; presumably an achievement to have lasted this far. this day and age in which we live, breathe, laugh and eventually die.

what? - the death of individuality. the death of distinguishable and singular identities that create a scatter plot of people, living their own worlds. instead, a place in which what is popular is ‘cool’ and in the worst case scenario, ‘necessary’. what we ‘need to have’ is becoming more or more our needs, and unfortunately, no one seems to be stopping it. a pair of headphones or sunglasses, accessories to make us feel like part of the crowd. like lemmings we follow each other to the ends of the earth, even on a path towards self destruction in order to feel a sense of belongingness. to what do we belong to? now that is something no one knows, and i certainly don’t want to stick around to find out.

Why? - ah. the unanswerable. for what possible good reason can people gladly give up what what makes them themselves? i feel as if it’s simply the easier path, and if most want to follow along, then that is their prerogative. but i, and hopefully others, would rather take that ever important ‘road less travelled by’...
