No One is Invincible
The sun is shining,
and there is not a cloud in the sky.
The air is filled with the smell of the sweet perfume of lilies.
It seems to be a perfect spring morning
Except for the sound of sirens echoing through the air.
Tears fill a young boy’s eyes,
as he watches the blaring siren drift off into the distance.
The mother tries to comfort him with a loving embrace,
but fails.
He lost his best friend in the world,
His role model,
The person he cherishes the most.
The one person he aspires to be,
is now gone.
When he saw his idol sifting through the medicine cabinet,
he knew he should have stopped him.
But he figured he was in crippling pain
and needed something to ease his demons.
He believed that his hero knew best.
