It wasn’t just any crush
He was someone unlike the rest
He always knew just what to say
To keep my heart beating out of my chest
His messy hair, so cute and soft
His sleepy eyes, so deep and calm
They way he smiled
Had me sweating in my palm
There was something different about him
That boy in English class
I wonder what he’s thinking
He’s a phase I cannot pass
