We do not exist. Not in this world and definitely not in the rest.
The last time we were one with the living it ended in our death.
We are undeniable and indescribably incapable of love, for when we did,
we lost our hearts in chaotic, unjust storms.
We’re not complaining, It worked out for the best, it’s just the principle of the thing.
We used to be fearless, pure, and amazing, but we were stupid.
We were guardians of the weak, we put ourselves in harms way just to get a little attention.
They saw us as monsters…
But we were only doing our jobs, what we were being paid to do,
what we were made to do. 
We used to be individuals.
“I” this and “I” that
“I am the bringer of the wind”
“I am the serpent of the sea”
“I am the guardian of the sky”
“I am the right hand to the king”
When what we really meant to say,
“I am whatever they want me to be, because I have yet to make myself free.”
They saw us serpents as Demons, but we are not from that realm.
They said we were the Devil’s children, and the spawn of a very certain Hell.
What they didn’t know about us, what no one seems to know,
We were never really evil, we only did what we were told.
Not one person made us. We’ve been here since before time.
We’ve only done what would keep us alive.
You’re a human, sure you understand the struggle we’ve had to endure.
With a knife to your throat, or the barrel of a gun in your face, you do whatever they want you to do,
Are we lying? Are we wrong?
When was the last time you did something that didn’t move your race a little farther along?
Come on! We're just saying! We’ve been beaten and shot and erased!
We’ve faced horrors your kind would never see, we’ve seen terror look us in the face.
But you wouldn’t care about that would you? You don’t care about our lives.
As a piece of one major being, as a piece of something huge,
We’re harmless, we’re innocent, we didn’t cause all of this hatred.
We’re innocent, we are true, we are only ourselves, more than pure.
Just think about that when you get time. Think about the way we were treated,
Its in our nature to respond!
If your family was attacked, you would kill a million too.
I mean seriously, take a second, think about the truth,
We are only dragons Through and Through.
