I Remember...
I Remember..
Broken glass slashing my palms, knees.
I crawl my way out,
Mother screams while sister crys,
Father grins, father follows, fire in his eyes.
Brother yells in defense,
Stallig for time.
I make it to my room struggling to stand high,
I tried to lock the door,
I tried to rip off my pullover that I had on for nights,
Pain overflowing my everything.
Yesterdays wounds laced with dry blood stuck onto my sweater,
I cry.
Climbing onto the window, I sit and look down.
Second flight, upstairs, apt. # A5.
Broken memories in a broken home, my home.
I jump,
I runaway,
I remember.
