Segregation
Red blood courses through every vain
Every heart endures the same exact pain
Under all skin is muscle and bone
So why has segregation ever been known?
Black or white, why does it matter?
We breathe the same air and share the same world
So why are thoughts so cruel, whirled, swirled?
We must learn to band together,
For if we don’t we will all die one day
In the ground decaying in the exact same way
With hate in our systems
Red blood no longer courses through our every vain
Our hearts no longer beat to feel pain
We no longer have skin to cover the muscle and bone
So tell me again why segregation continues to be shown?
