Saving Grace
Darling, look at yourself and try
Try to see yourself through her eyes
Just for a moment, please.
Only the will you understand
How much pain she feels watching
You constantly putting yourself down
Because you truly don't understand
How much you mean to her.
When everything was failing
You became her rock.
Even though you didn't know it
You stopped her from sinking
Deeper into the pit of depression
No one could see her scars
She hid them from the world
Growing deeper, until she met you.
You were the only one
Who could keep her above the water
You stopped her bleeding
And kissed the scars on her wrist
You were her faith, her hope.
You pulled her into your arms
And from them she'll never leave
Because you became her saving grace.

I wrote this to remind the one I love how much he meant to me. We weren't doing very well in our relationship at the time, so I wrote this for him. I hope it's relatable to some of you
