Unable to read you
I am unable to read you
Like the books piling on my shelf
You are overflowing with so many beautiful things
I’m struggling to put it into words
and I am speechless on why you are the way that you are
You are the one book that still lay upon my shelf
Untouched, not read, put away for another time
I do not understand
The actions that you do,
the words that spew out of your mouth
as if a never ending cycle
You’re a broken tape recorder
that repeats, and repeats, and repeats
You spread across your passionate words and articulate sentences
so effortlessly that you have no idea what you’re doing to me
You live in my 3AM thoughts
