When I Make It
When I finally make it,
like a bird in the blue sky,
The beautiful feeling
Of being done with school,
but a terrible feeling of reality sinking in.
When it truly gets to me,
the work,
the bills,
the problems because life is beating me down like a stone in the hot sun.
But once the struggle ends and I get started,
when its easier and more fun.
The everyday work day going home feeling trapped in a cell.
I get a great job and I can finally enjoy life,
The days you feel beaten,
Drug down,
Cant get up,
I must push on, follow my dreams, Never give up, My dream, like the red sunset, needful hope.
