hunting blind

Weaving branches and rye grass on our blinds.
We loaded up our shotguns
With shells and camouflage from a hunters bag,
Palmettos blocking us from the wild game
Of our homemade hunting blinds. We dug
Ourselves through ponds and mud in the woods,
Searching for signs of deer crossing through by a trail camera,
Following my four-wheeler trail to the place of my dreams,
Couldn’t be in a better place
