Favorite Quote:
"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life."

A fight for justice,
A cry for peace.
Why don't you help with the cause?
Help fight this ongoing war.

It doesn't matter what side you choose,
But don't just turn away.
Pick a side, either or,
And fight this ongoing war.

Fighting, fighting, here and there,
Though nobody has to die.
You see the pain we go through,
Don't let us fight our ongoing war alone.

The pain and suffering,
No matter how big or small,
Is far too big for any of us to carry.
Please help us with the burden of this ongoing war.

The author's comments:

The fight to "fit in" has been going on for as long as any of us can remember. It doesn't matter so much when we're younger, but then high school starts, and we're pitted against what society wants versus what we want for ourselves. We can win the fight against the things we don't want, and we don't have to win it alone.
