Parts of Every Body
The Face is beautiful
and it knows it, making sure
everybody else knew too.
The Eyes are fearful
of seeing something only
the brain could ever imagine.
The ears are paranoid,
hearing rumors and
wondering if it’s about them.
The Nose is intrusive
for picking and sniffing
at everyone else’s business.
The Mouth is greedy,
full of desires, never resting
until it gets what it wants.
The Lips are venomous,
spitting poison from
it’s deadly tongue. BEWARE.
The Upper Body is self-loathing,
pointing out every flaw, not realizing
it’s truly beautiful.
The Arms are loyal,
staying by your side,
never leaving you.
The Hands are regretful,
for not taking chances,
for not reaching far enough.
The Legs are strong,
holding everyone else up,
bearing the burden themselves.
The Feet are unappreciated,
hidden, never truly seen beyond
the materials that conceal them.
All have a role,
contributing to the system.
Without one, the system
could still continue on.
Lose them all, and
the system will cease to exist.

This poem can be taken in different ways, including the title itself. "Parts of Every Body" can be about qualities and attributes of people. It can be about parts of the body and their role. The bigger meaning behind it all is about the different people of society and how, without them, there wouldn't really be a society. Thanks for reading!
