Violence In Society
Anger that she tries to dim
It’s useless; I can see it in their eyes
One minute away from hurting him
She pulls away, hides her feelings in a disguise.
Words and their evil games,
More powerful than a fist
He screams names
She has tears all over her wrist.
Fights at school,
Not a single friend.
They all feel like a fool.
When will it end?
I try to help, but am met with a goodbye.
I want to take a stand?
But how do I?
I feel banned.
Wars overseas,
Family members,
I need a voice please.
All they’ve become are ashes burned in embers.
People being prosecuted worldwide.
For their belief?
There is no reason to have pride.
The only feeling I have nowadays is grief.
I may not have scars, but I hurt.
I feel like everyday I lose someone.
We’re all treated like dirt.
My life is a tiring rerun.
Violence
Is a problem that many reject.
Emotional or physical, we all need guidance.
It’s a society that has become wrecked.

I was inspired to write this poem, because I realized that although there isn't any physicaly violence in my life, there is violence with words. Regarding the wars we're fighting overseas, although I am not shedding blood, I have friends whose familly are out there. I thought that this issue needed a younger perspective.
