When you Wish Upon a Star

A childhood dream
to take flight
on a magic carpet,
or ride the
Hawaiian roller coaster.
To travel
to Neverland,
or Wonderland.
To make
a wish on
a shooting star,
to paint
with all
the
colors of the wind.
To own a cat
named Marie,
to find a
fox kit and
name it Todd.
And to find
true love
while
saving the day.
All these
dreams
slowly
falling
apart
as we grow up.
