Climbing into the tree
he hears it.
Thinking to himself
he knows,
it couldn’t be a squirrel.
Crack!
Went a branch in the
sage brush. Then out ran a
huge buck.
He had a,
huge body,
long tines, and
a great spread.
The hunter grabs his
bow. Only for him to
drop the weapon.
The stud heard this
odd noise. Which sent
the massive beast
frolicking back
into the brush.
Life
goes on in the woods,
but not in the hunter’s
heart.
The hunter knows
he’ll be back
for revenge.
