I Miss You

I miss you.
I miss your smile and the way you said my name,
but most of all,
I miss the way you made me feel like maybe I had a chance in this world.
I miss the way hearing your name would make me light up,
I miss feeling like I belong,
but dear,
we all know,
no one truly belongs,
and maybe I don't miss you.
Maybe I just miss the way you made me feel.
But it's better to be upset, than to have a false sense of security.
