Chocolate
After a long playful day in the snow
I can drink it.
The steam will warm up my nose
and the liquid heats my body,
all the way to the tip of my toes.
In the summer, I will eat it.
And the drinks, there will only be a few.
The sun will be warm enough to melt it,
and at night the fire will be too.
I should never eat too much,
or else I’ll have to face the consequences.
But if I would get to choose my chocolatey dream,
this would be my preference.

My teacher was expecting us to write a 1 or 2 poems for the semester. I kind of died a little inside because I was never good at poems. I asked my mom for some inspiration and she came up with the chocolate idea. It's probably the closest I'll get to poem. (:
