Take This Cup From Me
Father, pass this cup from me
I can't hold it much longer
The Lamb, I was called to be
Is destined to the slaughter
These people, they hate me
And disowned you, too
From the start, were hungry
And craved a powerful view
But you love them, your children
And so will I too
I'll die for them, our children
And conquer the tomb
Your hand swept over them
That black, tortured night
Showed them your grace
A way back to the light
An animal, not good enough
An insufficient deed
For all that's of earth
Back to earth recedes
Now here I Am
Hanging on a tree
Fulfilling the burden
Given by You to me
As the one perfect lamb
Was being led to the altar
This one perfect man
Dies for his sons and daughters
