My Island

I'm not coming back

I'm sailing away on my little blue boat

I'm up on the waves

and my sail is full out

I'm off to a land

that's completely my own

I'm far put to sea

And I'm not coming back

The deep of the fathomless

sea draws me on

neither behemoth

nor fury of storm

can make me quake or shrink from my task

I'm going away

and I'm not coming back

I can see my land

that was once just a dream

my great big nice monsters

the sands and the trees

they tower above me

and offer their hands

to guide me away

to my faraway land

I'm not coming back

tell momma i'm fine

I've so many friendly good beasts

I dont mind

I miss you, you know

but Ill wait for you here

where the juniper sleeps

and the sad trees drip tears

my little blue boat

has drifted away

We looked so hard for it

I guess I can stay

my nice beasties can keep me

warm, fed, and dry

I love you alot

you know that as I

I'm not coming back

this must be goodbye
