Who have to hold up two jobs to put food on the table
To send their children to school
To open up opportunities for their kids futures
That were better than theirs.
for the kids with less opportunities than most
The ones who's parents are not around
Because their parents are working two jobs
Day and night
the ones who want a success,
But think their chances are slim
With the amount of money they have
the kids with big dreams,
And determination to achieve success
but are put down by the others saying "you don't have enough money".
For the parents,
Wanting the best for their children.
But, financially
They are limited
For the parents who work hard every day
At home and at work,
To help fulfill their children's aspirations
To make their children's future
Better than the one they have at the time For the supportive ones
The ones who want their children to succeed Despite their financial problems
For the unfortunates,
Don't stop believing
if you work hard at achieving your dreams, Your time at the top will come
Once there hold on and never let go, Remember where you came from,
The journey,
And the ones that helped you along the way
For the kids who want success given to them
But know
With the amount of money they have
They will have to work harder than the person next to them Because one day, they will be faced against that person, Fighting for a job, a position, a spot in college
That depends on the the quality of their future,
Their family's,
More specifically, their children's.
And the cycle of poverty that they went through will either be Broken, or recycled
Reach for the stars
It will be a tough ride there But once achieved
