Rain Farewell

Gray city, gray buildings, gray rain
The thick color of rain crowding overhead, as I listen to the rain bear upon the ground.
Looking at the reflection in the puddle I let out a sigh
Will this rain comfort me?
Tilting my head upward I glance forward to the empty street.
“Why am I standing here?’
I don’t know if I have a lot of thoughts or no thoughts at all.
Standing here alone hoping maybe by chance I’ll meet you.
Pondering on the thought of your existences.
I miss you more than I hate you.
If we bumped into each other, what would happen?
Would you notice sorrow in my eyes?
With the unknown empty feeling that washes over me
I bury our love inside the farewell.

I really like the poem, especially how the author describe the rain
