We Need Each Other
I need you.
I need your happiness
your joy, your carefree ways.
I need your love.
So you let me borrow it.
You need my sorrow,
my depression, my responsibility.
You need my hate.
So I let you borrow it.
We balanced each other,
Then you left me.
With it you took all the good,
But left all the bad.
I was drowning in pain.
While you were skipping
in a bliss of jubilation.
I wanted you.
I needed you.
You were gone.
But then I saw that
You didn’t leave
You didn’t take all the good
You left everything.
Good.
Bad.
You needed me to remember.
Forever.
