You say you love me
But will you tell me you love me
When I can no longer jump into your arms
When my hands are too weak to write you the words you love so much
Will you tell me you love me when
I can’t stay up dancing until morning
When my hand can no longer find yours
and I’ve lost all the beauty of youth?
Tell me will you still love me
When I’m lying there, half way gone,
And all I have to offer
Is three words.
“I love you,”
