Oceania's Demise
We were like two oceans
Full of endless depth
Wavering unaccomplished goals
Numerous possibilities
and explanations
For what we are.
Yet our characteristics
Were never the same-
You cared for those with you
I did not.
You were warm and peaceful
I was not.
You were still and calming waters
I was a raging sea.
My thoughts fueled hurricanes of hatred,
Monsters escaping from within the deep burrows of my mind,
and it was as if you buried yours beneath the ocean,
Perhaps one day that pit beneath you overflowed
and that is why you are but a memory
Washed away with the tide.
